What is your potential?

Updated: Aug 31, 2021

Potential - having or showing the capacity to develop into something in the future.

Have you ever had a moment in life when a word defined its meaning?

I had the urge to wake up earlier than I have done for many years. I wanted to wake up at 5 am, but my love of sleep would not allow me to wake up this early.

I have a vision and a plan of running a successful business in personal development. Throughout my development journey, I’ve heard so many people say, to create the success you want, you must be willing to wake up early.

After many years of willingness in my mind but the body holding my back, I finally decided to turn it into a challenge, and it happened. It was a challenge for 30days (wake up at 5 am, pray/meditate, go for a walk or work out, then start the day)

It was about 20 days in when it dawned on me the potential to wake up earlier had always been there. What else do I have the potential for that I have not used or brought to life. Then, I started reflecting on all my achievements and realised the potential to become a number one bestselling author of my first book ‘Addicted to Being Broke’ was also there before I brought it to life.

Now I ask myself, what else do I have the potential to achieve?

What do you have the potential to bring to life?

What if we used up 50% of our potential?

Biggest lesson:

I came to realise, waking up at 5 am is not so much about waking up early which is also amazing, but the discipline to do it every morning builds you . The constant battle I have with my mind as to why I should not do it today builds character and strength. However, I am not in the business of sleep deprivation. I still love my sleep! I make sure I get to bed early and take a break from the 5 am routine, especially when the kids are off school.

The benefits of the 5 am routine:

-more time in the day

-starting the day off with a challenge (walking or working out)

-feeling of getting ahead

-feeling proactive rather than reactive

-feeling happier

-getting on top of house work

MCIOB salary is not determined by membership alone, but it can be connected to broader career development. Professionals with chartered status often combine technical knowledge, project experience, leadership ability, and commercial awareness. These qualities can make them more competitive in construction employment markets. The value of MCIOB recognition is therefore best understood as part of a wider professional profile.

The idea of exploring personal potential is very motivating because it encourages people to think beyond their current limits and focus on growth. I liked how the post emphasizes self-awareness and taking action toward improvement. During a challenging study period, I once used Artificial Intelligence assignment help online to better structure my academic workload, which helped me focus more on personal development. Understanding your potential often starts with small steps of consistency and reflection.
